  • Hi! I have rooted my ‘Samsung S5301’ phone using Kingo and it says that it has been successfully rooted. However when I run ‘adb shell’ and ‘su’ commands and then try to copy the bml5.img file to the SD card using the PC emulator, I receive a message ´No such file or directory’. Could the reason be that Kingo did not work properly although it said it was successfully roted and if not, will Odin work better? I do see the file name on the SD card (so the command seem to work) but when I copy it to my computer it is empty. Probably an empty file is created when the copy was not successful. I have a Samsung S5301 phone and the USB debugging activated. The command and file path I am using is… cat /dev/block/bml5>/sdcard/bml5.img. I have also tried excluding the block path. Thanks for your help in advance. Best regards, Jane

    • Hey Jane, if root kingo did say it successfully rooted the phone, then it really doesn’t make sense for the rooot access to be absent. Since after having rooting the device, you might have granted root permissions to at least some appps? Did that work out well?

  • Hi,
Where can I get the root package file for GT-S5301l? Since it appears that we should use the CF-Auto-Root.tar, but it’s not included in the donwload…

    PFC 2 years ago

    • The CF- Auto Root tar should work as it is. Since it is just a supersu image file, which is made flashable from Odin. You can get that from chainfire’s official website. I hope it helps.

  • Hi again! Just for your info I did not use the Odin software. I followed the instructions I found on the xda-developpers site using the SDK android tool.
Thanks for trying to help me. probably I have foreseen something or made some stupid beginners’ mistake. 🙂 If I will succeed to unlock my Samsung phone, my next challenge is to unlock an old Iphone 4S. Don´t know whether that also will challenge my patience. 🙂

  • Still haven´t succeeded to unlock my Samsung Galaxy GT5301 phone and the only problem is probably that no bml5.img file is found when I do the CAT command. I have tried with and without ‘block’ in the paths, Could it be another path than those two proposed or is the problem something else?
