Before you begin to root HTC Desire V, here are some things that you need to do. Below is a list of those things, so have them done before you proceed further.

  • First of all, enable the USB Debugging Mode on you device, by going into the Developer Options.enable-usb-debugging-mode
  • If Developer Options for your device aren’t activated yet, you can do that by tapping on the Build Number in the About Section of the device 7 times.

Install CWM Recovery on HTC Desire V:

Here is the first part of the tutorial, we will first install cwm recovery on HTC desire v. So begin with it and follow the steps below. Make sure that you have unlocked the bootloader of the device before you proceed.

  • Extract the above downloaded file to a suitable location on your computer.
  • Connect your device to the computer using a USB cable.
  • Double click on the Toolkit executable file from the extracted files to launch it.
  • Once the tool is launched, click on the ClockWorkMod option and then click on Flash Recovery.
